Applications Are Still Open for AVEPA-SEVC Congress 2026: Ukrainian Veterinarians Can Still Apply
The Ukrainian Veterinary Medicine Foundation continues to accept applications from veterinarians and veterinary students who would like to attend AVEPA-SEVC Congress 2026 in Barcelona free of charge.
đź“Ť Barcelona, Spain
📅 19–21 November 2026
Thanks to the support of SEVC and AVEPA — the Spanish Association of Small Animal Veterinarians — 40 free places are available for participants from Ukraine.
Applications are still open, so veterinarians and students who have not yet registered still have the opportunity to apply.
Who can apply
Applications are open to:
- qualified veterinarians;
- veterinary students who can provide a student ID or an official certificate from their university;
- professionals from any city in Ukraine and from any veterinary specialty.
Importantly, membership in UVMF, AVEPA, or any other professional organization is not required and does not provide any advantage during the selection process.
How the selection process will work
To apply, candidates need to complete a short registration form and submit a motivation letter of up to 500 words.
Applicants are invited to explain:
- why participation in the congress is important to them;
- what knowledge and professional experience they hope to gain;
- how they plan to share what they learn with colleagues after the congress.
The evaluation will focus primarily on the content and motivation, rather than the writing style.
At present, the number of applications has not exceeded the number of available places.
However, if the number of applicants exceeds the 40 available places, a competitive selection process will be conducted. The motivation letters will be reviewed anonymously by three veterinarians — Yuliia Borysevych, Oleh Sokhanevych, and Andrii Kravchenko.
The jury members will not see the applicants’ names or the names of the organizations they represent. This will allow the applications to be assessed solely on the basis of their content and the applicants’ motivation.
The Ukrainian Veterinary Medicine Foundation acts as the technical organizer of the application and selection process.
All 40 places at AVEPA-SEVC Congress 2026 are provided free of charge to Ukrainian veterinary professionals by the SEVC organizers as a sign of support and solidarity with the Ukrainian veterinary community during the war.
For Ukrainian colleagues, this is an opportunity to gain new professional knowledge, learn from international experience, connect with veterinary professionals from other countries, and bring valuable knowledge back to Ukraine.
